Things have been on hold recently. I had a hard time during pregnancy and then my little girl had some health problems starting out, but now that things have settled down and spring is now approaching, I think it is a good time to get back to business. I am offering a spring special. Hopefully things will get off to a good start!

Things are going well! Everything is working out fine. I just recently started a local mom group/ play group. We are getting the ball rolling there. I am working on a plan to volunteer some of my services at Children’s Hospital. I wanted to volunteer directly through the hospital to make sure that everything is legit and so I am not perceived as trying to harass the patients or families. I am totally just about trying to help out and do something nice for families. I think that it is important to try to provide ill children and their families with as normal as a life as possible. Getting professional photos done is one of those things that gets passed up in the chaos of dealing with something like a chronic illness, serious accident or premature birth. I really just want to give back.

I was briefly MIA. I had a scare with contractions that wouldn’t stop. Short couple of days in the hospital and I am back on track. The Dr okay’d be to work, so I am back to pounding the pavement trying to drum up some business. I am also in the process of trying to organize a local mom group and that is going pretty awesome too! Hoping to get some new pics up soon.

In the beginning, my husband and I had a small disagreement about session prices. He thought my time was worth more than I wanted to charge. So, I relented and set my prices a little more than I was comfortable with. Well, I decided today, that it’s my business and my time, so I adjusted a few things. I feel better with these prices, and hopefully so will everyone else…..

This is the birth of my blog. A place where, as a photographer, I can talk about what I am doing, what I am shooting, and what I am thinking. I will share behind the scenes info and pics, discuss where I am going with my shoots and post new shots and discuss new techiniques as I work them out. Hopefully, some of you will follow along with me.
